A Glock 18 - This is not one of Glock's most popular pistols. Glock does not list the Glock 18 on their website or in their catalog.
The Glock 18 was first produced in 1986 (or 1982, according to some sources) in response to a request from the Einsatzkommando Cobra, or EKO Cobra, the Austrian counter-insurgency force, for a completely custom-portable version of the Glock 17.
A Glock 18
The Glock 18 is almost identical to the Glock 17 when it comes to size and, like the Glock 17, fires 9mm. Unlike the Glock 17, however, the Glock 18 can fire at 1,200 rounds per minute.
Why The Glock 18 Might Be The Most Deadly Gun On Planet Earth
Sure, the Glock 18 doesn't hold nearly as much, but it has an extended 33-round magazine to help it last longer without changing magazines.
1200 rounds per minute is awesome, especially for such a small gun, so the Glock 18 is known to be very tough.
The original Glock 18 had a ported barrel to help absorb the recoil caused by the Glock 18's high rate of fire, but Glock quickly decided they needed something more powerful.
They eventually landed on what was called the Glock 18C, which had both a barrel in the barrel and a clip in the slide to let the gas escape, reducing the recoil of the hog.

However, Glock also makes a stock frame that can be used with the Glock 18 to make it easier to control and stabilize during automatic shooting.
The trigger bar has a bar on the top, which when the pistol is cocked automatically using a switch on the back of the slide, holds the sear engaged and allows the pistol to fire one straight round after another.
Second, some samples were introduced to dealers between January 1, 1986 and May 19, 1986. Dealers could keep these samples even after they surrendered their licenses.
Buying a gun from one of these two categories is the only way the average civilian without a dealer's license can purchase a Glock 18, but there are very few of these Glock 18s available and you can expect to pay pretty good money for them.

Any Glock 18s manufactured after May 19, 1986 can only be obtained by dealers, manufacturers, military and law enforcement. c
A Class III dealer with a "sample letter" (a letter from the police department asking you to take the gun for testing) can get a Glock 18, but they can't keep it once they cancel their license.
If you can get a Glock 18 this way, it would be the easiest and cheapest way to do it, costing only a few hundred dollars. Unfortunately, this is not an option for many people. Plus, once you own a Glock 18, you'll never want to let it go.
There are also third-generation Glock 17s that have been modified to have a selector switch on the rear, which feels similar to the Glock 18, but these are only available from Class III dealers with sample letters.

The good news is that you can still shoot the Glock 18, as long as you can keep track.
Of course, if you have a family member or friend who has one, you can invite them to the range and ask them to let you borrow one, but your chances of knowing someone with a Glock 18 are slightly higher than yours. A chance to have one of your own.
A more practical solution is to rent one. Of course, I do not mean that you can rent one to take home with you, but there are many scopes that have their hands on one and will let you shoot it, with instructions, in their place.
Renting a Glock 18 (or any other automatic weapon) is of course more expensive than renting a semi-automatic, but the price is still high.
Gun Fact: The Glock 18 Fires 1,200 Bullets Per Minute
Granted, very few of us have the opportunity to own this awesome pistol, but at least we get the satisfaction of knowing it's out there and maybe even renting one from the range, even if you can't take it home.
Otherwise, you'll just have to settle for the Glock 18's big brother, the Glock 17.

The former president of Iraq, who has been on the run since the capture of Baghdad, appeared on the card with the image of other fugitive war criminals and naturally she was the main card. Hussein, shackled and shackled, was armed with one of the rarest handguns: Glock 18, Glock full auto.
In February 1980 the Austrian army issued requirements for a new handgun. Gaston Glock, a knife manufacturer that makes knives and holsters for the military, has decided to try his hand at the gun business. After shopping and testing a variety of handguns, consulting with firearms experts to see what they wanted in a handgun, and apparently through a lot of trial and error, Glock's first pistol, the Glock 17, won the Army Youth Contract. A thousand pistols.

Glock's handgun design, an early adopter of the use of polymer to reduce weight, makes the pistol relatively light and easy to carry. The seventeen-round detachable box magazine was larger than most handguns of the era. Recoil from a nine-millimeter weapon is easy enough. The emphasis on mechanical reliability makes the Glock 17 an attractive choice for police and special operations units that use hand guns as their duty pistol, especially in offensive roles.
As part of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, he told Glock and asked if the company could make a fully automatic version of the Glock 17. The company succeeded and named the gun Glock 18, because it is similar to the original gun but with clear differences. Basically, the Glock 18 is a machine gun, or a pistol-sized device capable of fully automatic fire.
The Glock 18 is similar to the Glock 17, with only minor differences. One difference is that there is a turret selector on the rear right side of the slide. Turning clockwise, the Glock will fire in semi-automatic mode, and each trigger will fire one round. In this form the Glock 18 is indistinguishable from a working Glock 17.
Alternatively, turn the Glock 18 into a fully automatic weapon with a rate of fire. . In fully automatic mode, the Glock 18 has a rate of fire of 1,200 rounds per minute.

While the recoil of the Glock 17 is very manageable, the rate of fire for 1,200 rounds per minute is something else entirely. Early Glock 18s carried barrels that included gunpowder gas to combat barrel roll. However, this increased the overall length of the pistol and created a situation where the gas port could catch on clothing while being drawn - not a good feature for undercover work. The Glock 18 also includes an optional steel shoulder stock to aid accuracy.
A later model, the Glock 18C, had a two-inch cut in the top of the slide to expose the barrel. The cut into the barrel is a rectangular chevron cut designed to keep the gas upward, resisting upward movement of the barrel when firing on full auto. As a result, the 18C has less surface to obstruct the draw, and at first glance it doesn't seem that different from a Glock semi-auto.
The Glock 18 accepts standard Glock magazines, from ten to seventeen rounds, but a handgun with a rate of fire of 1,200 rounds per minute can empty a standard pistol magazine in the blink of an eye. To help feed the intense appetite for the Glock 18, the company released a thirty-three round magazine. These longer magazines extend well beyond the magazine, making the gun difficult to conceal but doubling the firepower.
Federal gun laws that regulate automatic weapons mostly keep the Glock 18 out of civilian hands, although a small number of guns are in the hands of shooting ranges and private collectors. Fully automatic pistols can be purchased by the police and the government in the United States, but without the benefit of frequent, expensive training, it is difficult for the largest police departments to justify the cost. This particular weapon may be fun to shoot, but it has little practical value outside of units like the EKO Cobra. In the future, the Glock 18 will remain a rarity that fires at 1,200 rounds per minute. The Glock 18 is a fully automatic pistol chambered in 9mm… only it can fire up to 1200 rounds.
